Written by Kiyota
Jirokunietsu's master, first in Japanese in 2003, then translated in English by Stephen Comee in 2004.
A very rare (the only one?) book on japanese sword and traditional
japanese swordsmithing that adopts a litterary tone: essays and
thoughts of various sources accompanied by great color and B/W
photographs by Masahiko Miyata.
This very inspiring book is aimed at who has no idea what a japanese
sword is as it informs and initiates, but also to the connoisseur who
can revisit the origins of his/her interests, and the nature of the
beauty in swords.
The book also covers the making, maintenance, and etiquette in appraisal.
Includes an essay by Kiyota.
We still don't know when it will be made available on Amzon (see link):
