Here's who you would deal with:
My name is Pierre Nadeau. I was born in Montréal, Eastern Canada. Since the begining of 2006, I am the apprentice of young japanese swordsmith Kiyota Jirokunietsu, himself having apprenticed under Mukansa smith Kawachi Kunihira.
A
friend suggested that I start offering these services to help support
myself during my apprenticeship. It would allow me to remain in my
field of study and pay the bills at the same time (not common in
swordsmithing!).
For the following reasons: - I have made it my life commitment to research, study, promote and make Japanese Swords - I am not linked to any sword business anywhere (except formy master's work!) - I do not do this as a hobby: swords conduct my life! -
Although I am not a famous person as it is, I am known and
supported by many well-known and honnest individuals in the sword
world, which FORBIDS ME FROM WRONGDOING or else I'd be all on my own quickly enough.
I believe this makes me a good candidate to bear the responsability of your swords during their stay in Japan.
Please feel free to check, ask for references, or just hold a talk on the phone with me to break the ice.
Best regards, Pierre Nadeau August 2007, Shimizu, Japan
